Support for Coram East Midlands families

Coram has made changes to its adoption service in the East Midlands and our branch office in Shepshed closed on 28 February 2020.

Coram is committed to continuing to offer local support and guidance to all our existing adoptive families in the East Midlands via our friendly and knowledgeable team in London.

Supporting you

East Midlands families are warmly welcomed to contact us for any advice, guidance and support at any time – not just if things are difficult. Our aim is to provide opportunities that will support you as your children grow.

We understand that seeking help itself can be challenging. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to share any concerns or worries, which could be about school and education; behaviour management; transitions; contact and your child’s life story and life story book.

Adoption Support Helpline

Our dedicated helpline for advice and support on any adoption matter is available for East Midlands families. This is staffed by experienced social workers who will be able to access relevant information about your family to help or redirect you in the most effective way or liaise with Local Authorities and/or other agencies.

The line is open Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm: 020 7520 0383

Our helpline is available to provide advice and assistance in accessing the Adoption Support Fund.

Adopter Hub membership

All our East Midlands adopters can access the Adopter Hub membership. This provides adopters with online access to peer support and experienced practitioners to help reduce isolation. The support includes webinars on staying positive whilst home schooling, home schooling children with additional behavioural needs, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, single adopters during pandemic, and adult mental health.
