LGBT+ Adoption Information Session, Cambridgeshire, Thursday 7th March 2019
To celebrate LGBT+ Adoption and Fostering Week 2019, we are holding an event where LGBT couples interested in adoption can come along and speak to our dedicated team and chat to same sex couples who have adopted through Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption .
The adoption information sessions are designed to give you general information about adoption and concurrent planning to help you decide whether adopting a child will be right for you and your family. The adoption information sessions provide an opportunity to learn more about Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption as an organisation, meet others who have also started thinking about adoption and to be introduced to members of the social work team. It is a matter of choice for the enquirer whether or not to attend a session.
Adoption social workers will tell you about the process of becoming an adopter, and the kinds of children who need adoptive parents. The information sessions are informal with the opportunity to ask questions. If you are a couple, it is helpful for both partners to attend. Single applicants are welcome to bring a family member or close friend.
During the evening you can watch a presentation to learn more about adoption and also we have a same sex couple who have succesfully adopted through Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption who will share their experiences with you and also be able to answer any questions that you may have.
Drop-in to speak to our friendly team between 4.30 and 7.30pm . Presentation will be held at 5.30pm for approximately 45 minutes.
