Across the UK, events (in-person and virtual) will be held with an opportunity for potential adoptive parents to find out more about the positives of growing their families through adoption, adopters and adoptees sharing and celebrating their experiences and a moment to celebrate the benefits of working with voluntary adoption agencies through this process.

Coram x GLL

To mark Big Adoption Day 2026, charitable social enterprise and leisure operator GLL and the UK’s first children’s charity Coram have announced a new partnership, offering 500 free three-month memberships to Better leisure centres for adoptive families in London and across the country.

As part of the initiative, GLL is offered adoptive families free access to its 250 Better leisure centres across the UK for three months, enabling them to visit every gym, swimming pool and attend any fitness class without any extra cost or time restrictions. The offer also included access to over 30 soft plays and trampoline parks, and access to the Better UK app.

The free memberships were open to adoptive families across England and Wales, who adopted through Coram or another voluntary adoption agency within the Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies (CVAA).

Coram x National Theatre: Ballet Shoes

Coram is collaborating with the National Theatre again to coincide with the second run of the production of Ballet Shoes,  Noel Streatfield’s beloved story about three adopted sisters and their found family. The National Theatre and Coram will once again be inviting families to experience the magic and power of storytelling through theatre. In addition, regional screenings will be shown across the country, allowing families of the wider CVAA network to experience the magic.
