About us

Coram’s Adoption and Permanent Families Service is one of the largest independent adoption agencies in the UK working in and around London, East Anglia and the East Midlands.

Mum and daughter hugging and smiling at camera We pride ourselves on offering a sensitive and professional service to adopters and children.

Our adoption teams are staffed by friendly and experienced staff. We are very familiar with the difficulties of children who have been in care, and can help new adoptive families adjust. As adoption is our priority, we can devote time and attention to the families and children we work with.

Support for as long as you need us

We recognise that adoptive families and their children may need support of different kinds as their children grow. We are there for families throughout the process and afterwards - for as long as you need us.  Coram offers a range of support services after adoption, such as specially adapted parenting skills training, social events for adoptive families and support groups for adopters.

Approaching Coram, getting an interview straight away, that made me feel comfortable. That made me feel like, these are the right people to go with.

About Coram

Coram is the UK children's charity which has been helping vulnerable children for 275 years.

We strive to keep adoption at the top of the political agenda and in the public eye and seek to influence policy-makers to ensure that children’s best interests are represented in policy reform, for example through responses on key elements of the 2013 Children and Families Bill.

We are a strategic partner of the Department for Education (DfE) and were involved in the development of the Government’s National Adoption Action Plan aimed at speeding up adoption. We are also a part of the National Adoption Implementation Group and National Adoption Recruitment Forum.
